The NOWHOUSE.uk story

Organic Interior

NOWHOUSE.uk has developed from a concept that came to life over fifteen years ago. Chris Billinghurst brought the idea of eco chic to the fore with Eco Chic Interiors (2011-2014), latterly concentrating on professional upcycling for interiors with #UpcycledHour (2014-2019) and the House of Upcycling (2019-2024). It's now time to turn the clock forward without losing reference to the past.  Never before have we genuinely appreciated the many benefits a home can supply, how it can support and nurture our individuality, aesthetic preferences, sacred and social demands together with our wellbeing.  

 

With friends and associates Chris has met along the way - Zara Bonser of My Sanctuary No.8 in particular, as co-host of the NOWHOUSE.uk podcast, NOWHOUSE.uk is different because you're different.

So what are intelligent interiors? Like everything we do at NOWHOUSE.uk, we'll make the explanation simple.​  Intelligent Interiors embrace:

  • interiors fit for purpose and fit for the individual

  • products that focus on wellbeing and environmental support

  • the concept of professional reuse

  • items of heritage and craft

  • access to well-ventilated areas, natural light and outside space
